Forest Natives
For the Cave Painting article for Amelia's Magazine which you can read in full here:.
The image was inspired by the music, which has an earthy, native sound and when I listened to it, conjured up images of the forest and wild animals. The colour palette also reflects this. The music really grew on me over the days and I really love it!

The music is beautiful and I began to like it more and more as I worked on the image.

"How Bazaar"
Went to the "How Bazaar " charity craft and vintage fair today with Jade where there was alot of great stuff by some very talented creative people. One of my faves was this Jafar Jaffa cake piece by Kraggy :http://kraggy.co.uk/ . There were also some prints by Jon Burgerman, Abby Wright (http://abbywrightillustration.blogspot.com/ ) .
I ended up spending a fair but but got some lovely things!

Just a little update
So I'm two weeks away from my university end of year Degree Show and it's been busy ,busy ,busy and a tad stressful but exciting. Aside from making sure everything needed is finished, printed out and organised, I am currently designing some business cards, which people can pick up at the show and I have also purchased a proper domain name for this blog.
The tutors are also currently setting up a website for the show on which everyone participating is uploading their work, so I will post the link for that for you all when it is finished. It will surely be worth a look, there's some serious talent in my class.

YCN Competition Entries!

My entries for the YCN Student Awards for the Marks and Spencer Plan A campaign brief.
It asks students to design a logo or series of identity elements in which customers will identify with the "Plan A" campaign. I decided to chose two of these channels:
- Advertising
- Packaging and Carrier Bags
Both designs are based around a single logo that links the two communication methods to the campaign . I have kept the poster design simple and direct and engaging to the public by giving it a memorable slogan. The handmade aesthetic limited colour scheme help to enforce the campaigns environmental benefits. I used the same logo for the bag design and kept it simple and decorative. I also made it brighter by using a variety of seasonal colours. The design itself would be printed onto a re-usable canvas bag in order to enforce the environmentally friendly aims of the campaign.

Finished Crocky!
So now is the time of the big rush to get everything finished, edited and sorted before my first assessment. Tis pretty stressful, especially since this is my final year of uni! I can't believe it, the first term has gone so fast!
Anyhow, my Crocky Wock project, both pages are now complete!
The image its self has changed a fair bit and I now think it works much better.

This page has to be black and white as it was part of the brief.
